Codie Sanchez spent years working on Wall Street, holding senior roles at Goldman Sachs, State Street, Vanguard, and First Trust, and learning their private equity secrets. She built a billion-dollar asset management firm for First Trust in Latin America.
Then she decided that instead of scaling and doing big acquisitions for big corporations, she wanted to do them for herself.
So she left Wall Street for Main Street, launching Main Street Holding Company and Contrarian Thinking Capital, and began building out her own portfolio of “boring businesses” including car washes, laundromats, and roofing, painting, and handyman companies.
Today she is the founder and CEO of Contrarian Thinking, a financial media company with millions of followers where she’s passionate about helping others build wealth through unconventional acquisition strategies.
